During the second semester of my first year as an Interaction Design student, my team and I achieved a top 5 placement out of 25 participants—including Master of Design graduates—in SUEDE and Atlassian's annual Designathon.

The Designathon focused on integrating AI into Jira, a challenging task in today's vast AI landscape. To help Atlassian integrate AI into their platform, we developed two innovative AI functions—QuickStart AI and Explain AI—to transform their users' productivity.

QuickStart AI streamlines user onboarding with personalised task checklists and shortcuts, while Explain AI provides clear explanations when users interact with Jira elements.

The Designathon spanned just three days, providing us with a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience with emergent technologies.
